Life IS the Mission
Make a Difference Wherever You Are!
The difference we make in this world is all about the people we touch. Whether at work, school or play, we all have an opportunity to let God's love work through us. It may be a kind word, a helping hand, or simply listening in a time of trouble.
You don't have to have money, travel the world, or be highly educated, God can use you to make a difference in someone else. The awesome benefit, is when you make yourself available to help someone else, God always takes care of you too!
Maybe this is all new to you. The fact that God wants to have a relationship with each of us doesn't need to seem "mystical" or complicated. The Bible contains everything we need to know about God, and it is one of the ways He speaks to us. So how do you get started? I'm glad you asked. Since you're taking time to even read this is a good indication you are not just interested, but that God may also be using it to get your attention.
The Basics of Becoming a Christian
A – Admit you’re not perfect. OK, that’s not so hard. The truth is, if we were perfect, we wouldn’t need God.
The Bible tells us: “We have all sinned”
B – Believe that God made us a way out. I’m so thankful that we don’t have to offer sacrifices of bulls, lambs, and doves on an alter to God, to receive His forgiveness, the way it was required thousands of years ago.
The Bible tells us: “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (He paid the final sacrifice!)
C – Confess Him as Lord of your life. When someone does something good for you, it’s hard to keep it a secret. Don’t be ashamed to let others know that you have decided to follow Jesus Christ.
The Bible tells us: “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
There's no "magical" formula or religious excercise required, prayer is simply speaking to God from your heart.
Pray something like this:
God I know I’m a sinner, and I believe you sent your Son, Jesus Christ to die for my sins. I'm sorry, please come into my life. Help me get to know you. Show me your will and plan for my life. I will do my best to serve you and make you the Lord of my life.
Thank you for saving me and giving me another chance. I love You Lord, and I want live for You!
In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
CONGRATULATIONS! Following Christ is the most important decision of your life!
Find a church or group of Christian believers where your faith can be strengthened and encouraged. God has many blessings in store for you as you serve Him. It won’t always be easy, but it is definitely worth it!
God bless you in your journey with Him,
